The challenge
High-voltage cables with silicone insulation are flexible and heat-resistant – perfect for demanding applications. But in heavy-duty use, they quickly reach their limits:
Sharp edges, cuts, and mechanical stress can damage the sensitive silicone layer.
Coroplast has developed a special wrapping for this that provides additional protection: the Coroflex ProTect high-voltage cable. However, this very layer creates new challenges in cable processing.
The innovation
With BERI.CO.TAPE, we are launching a single cable processing machine that strips taped high-voltage cables safely and efficiently.
Thanks to our specially developed process, the protective tape is separated from the underlying silicone layer through thermal processing and a blunt knife helix cut – without damaging it.
This process has been scientifically tested and validated by the cable manufacturer.
The machine
BERI.CO.TAPE is a medium-sized bench-top machine for cables from 6–150 mm² and offers:
