The challenge
High-voltage cables with silicone-containing insulation are flexible and heat-resistant – perfect for demanding applications. But in heavy-duty use, they’re fast reaching their limits:
Sharp edges, cuts and mechanical stress can damage the delicate silicone layer.
Coroplast has developed a special banding for this that offers additional protection: The Coroflex ProTect. However, it is precisely this layer that poses new challenges for cable processing.
The innovation
With BERI.CO.TAPE we are bringing a single cable processing machine onto the market that safely and efficiently insulates high-voltage cables.
Thanks to our specially developed process, the protective tape is removed from the underlying silicone layer through thermal processing and a blunt blade helix cut – without damaging it.
This procedure has been scientifically tested and validated by the cable manufacturer.
The machine
The BERI.CO.TAPE is a medium-sized tabletop machine for cables ranging from 6–150 mm² and offers:
