Coaxial cables place high demands on processing. The inner conductor, dielectric, shielding, and outer jacket must be processed with precision to preserve the electrical properties and ensure a permanently reliable connection.
With professional solutions for coaxial cable processing, you create the foundation for reproducible quality – from precise stripping and cutting to length through to preparation for crimped, soldered, or plug connections.
Precision down to the smallest detail
With coaxial cables, every millimeter counts. Even small deviations in stripping lengths or cutting depths can damage the shielding, impair the dielectric, or reduce the quality of the subsequent connection.
A coordinated cable processing solution enables:
- precise stripping lengths
- defined cutting depths
- gentle processing of sensitive shielding
- precise exposure of the inner conductor and dielectric
- consistent results in repetitive processes
- reduced scrap and rework rates
The result is optimally prepared coaxial cables for demanding applications.
Our solutions for coaxial cable processing
For the precise and flexible processing of coaxial and industrial cables, Rittmeyer offers the BERI.CO.AX, a specialized solution for multi-step stripping processes.
The cable stripping machine is based on the proven SIX.TEC principle and operates with a programmable iris blade system. Six iris blades enable precise yet gentle removal of different types of insulation. Flexibly positionable iris centering units and a large-area iris clamping system support precise centering and secure guidance of the cable.
A particular advantage: With the BERI.CO.AX, up to ten processing steps can be programmed in a single recipe. This allows complex, multi-step stripping processes to be implemented efficiently. Different recipes can also be processed automatically in sequence. A/B programming for processing both cable ends is also available.
BERI.CO.AX at a glance
- multi-step stripping of complex cables
- programmable iris blade system with six blades
- up to ten processing steps per recipe
- automatic execution of different recipe sequences
- A/B programming for both cable ends
- cable diameters from approx. 1.5 to 29 mm
- stripping lengths of up to approx. 245 mm for full and partial stripping
- processing of cables up to 150 mm²
- integrated panel PC and clear recipe visualization
- process time display for evaluating and optimizing settings
This makes the BERI.CO.AX particularly suitable for applications in which multiple cable layers need to be processed precisely, reproducibly, and economically.

Precise braid processing without damaging underlying layers
In many coaxial cables, the shielding braid plays a key role in electromagnetic shielding. It therefore has to be processed with corresponding precision for subsequent cable assembly.
A particular challenge is cutting the braid cleanly without damaging the underlying insulation layers. For this purpose, Rittmeyer offers the BERI.CO.CUT and the BERI.CO.CUT V3, dedicated solutions for shielding and braid processing. The operating principle of the BERI.CO.CUT is designed to prevent damage to the underlying insulation layers while enabling fast and precise cutting.
Depending on the application, cables with diameters of approximately 4 to 23 mm can be processed.

This means that coaxial cable processing includes not only stripping the individual cable layers, but also the targeted preparation of the shielding braid for subsequent contacting and assembly processes.
Preparing shielding foils and fabrics specifically for further processing
In addition to braided shields, coaxial and other shielded cables often use foils, fabrics, and other layered materials. These also need to be processed or removed in a controlled manner for subsequent production steps.
Processing can be particularly challenging with sensitive cable structures: rotary blades may be unsuitable for certain foil structures because micro-damage to underlying layers cannot always be reliably ruled out.
With the BERI.MOD.MAGIC, we therefore take a different approach. The thermal module generates heat using an alternating electromagnetic field. Metallic components within the cable structure are heated, and the adjacent thermoplastic layers are selectively pre-weakened through heat transfer. This can make the subsequent removal of foils, fabrics, or other layered materials easier.
The module can be used flexibly – for example within a production line, as an upstream unit for subsequent processing machines, or integrated into a stripping machine.
With the BERI.MACH.MAGIC, a machine solution is also available in which the thermal module and all required components are integrated.
This also enables shielding foil and fabric processing to be incorporated into a continuous coaxial cable processing workflow.

Which solution is right for your coaxial cable?
No two coaxial cables are exactly alike. Cable diameter, shielding structure, materials, stripping dimensions, and production volumes determine which processing steps and technologies are suitable.
Whether multi-step stripping with the BERI.CO.AX, braid processing with the BERI.CO.CUT, or shielding foil processing with the BERI.MACH.MAGIC: the key is a process chain tailored to the specific cable structure.
